Program Officer with the Pro-Democracy Alliance at the Open Society Foundations
Sebastian Yoon is a Program Officer with the Pro-Democracy Alliance team at the Open Society Foundations. He manages Open Society-U.S.’ BIPOC power building grants with the goal of developing a multiracial coalition capable of shaping and sustaining freedom, justice, and democracy in the United States by building power in Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI); American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN); Black; Latinx; and Muslim, Arab, South Asians (MASA) communities across the country.
He is also an advocate for criminal justice reform, particularly in the fight to provide incarcerated people with opportunities for higher education and to end mass incarceration.
He received his BA from Bard College and is pursuing an MPA at Baruch College.
